Our intellectual property rights litigation services range from preliminary investigations to arranging law enforcement raids. Our litigation services have been conducted by experienced lawyers specialized in IP-related cases. In terms of intellectual property rights enforcement our firm’s staffs have represented international IP owners and conducted legal actions to protect various types of their products, namely clothing, footwear, leather goods, sunglasses, electronics, home appliances, power tools, pharmaceuticals, petrol and cosmetics.
Our team consists of in-house raid coordinators and the entire enforcement process is supervised by our experienced lawyers. We maintain good relationships with police officers at the Economic and Technological Crime Suppression Division – the Thailand police unit specifically charged with enforcing intellectual property rights – and the Department of Special Investigation (DSI) – a non-police law enforcement agency which are charged with handling, among other things, high-profile IP enforcement cases.
We have plenty of experience in handling customs seizure work. Normally, we respond to requests from the Thai Customs Department to inspect goods believed to be counterfeit after they have been seized at a customs checking point and, if possible, file a formal complaint against the importer. We represent our clients and liaise with the customs department in relation to any infringement matters.
We offer a wide range of investigative services. Preliminary investigations, test purchases, take down notices against web portals, market surveys, in-depth investigations against retailers, wholesalers, warehouses, manufacturing sites, coordination of law enforcement raids, ex-officio raids and customs seizures. For a more detailed description of our services see below.
